Wētā Workshop is an Academy Award–winning design and fabrication studio based in Wellington, Aotearoa New Zealand. Founded in 1987 by Richard Taylor and Tania Rodger, the company is internationally recognised for its work across film, television, interactive media and experiential design.

Wētā Workshop has contributed to major global franchises including The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Avatar, District 9 and many others. Their work spans creature design, practical effects, props, armour, miniatures and immersive world-building. Known for precision craftsmanship and cinematic storytelling, Wētā Workshop combines traditional artistry with advanced technology to create believable, emotionally resonant worlds.
